Parade part 2!

On October 10, 2008 Miss Makayla was in another parade. She did a one day course on cheerleading given by the local high school cheerleaders. They called the kids the Rah-Rah Rookies. The Rookies were able to be in the high school homecoming parade and then got to cheer at the homecoming game. Makayla learned one cheer for this and then a couple of jumps. We stayed for the whole football game in our orange and black spirit sweaters, watched the fireworks they displayed and just had a great time. At the end of the evening Makayla said that it was the best day of her LIFE! What a wonderful experience this was for her. I took some pictures of her cheering, but due to being a novice photographer they are not in focus at all. :( Oh well, I'm still learning.

Another "Little Sister" picture

TSU parade

It's the parade time of year again! On Saturday October 4, 2008 Miss Makayla was in the TSU parade with the "Little Sisters" from the Miss Kirksville Pageant. She also rode in the truck with Miss Kirksville. She had so much fun with this. It was worth every penny and I'm so glad we're in a place that has these kind of opportunities.

short and sweet

Another tucking in bed story. Tonight as I was tucking the girls into bed Celeste informed me that her heart was beeping. How do they come up with all this wonderful stuff?

So, where did time go?

This picture was taken nearly a year ago and yet is one of our most recent pictures. Sadly I have not been able to find my digital camera since we moved so you are stuck with what we already have.

I have truly been enjoying being a mother. It seems every day just gets better and better. Every moment is so precious to me. I love these sweet angel daughters of mine. I try so hard to remember the little moments, but find that my memory is not all that I would like it to be. I hope that perhaps a blogspot will help me to record and remember those moments that are truly valuable.

Today as I was tucking Makayla in for nap she started telling me the knock-knock jokes she has been learning at school. So, I told her a few of the ones I remember from way back when. We had a lot of fun with this. When it was Emma's turn to be tucked in she just had to tell me a knock-knock even though she has no clue really. She said, "knock-knock." I asked, "who's there?" Her response was, "A nanna knock-knock." Cuteness! I loved that moment.
